The drive from DFW
We’re north of the metroplex, and for most guests the drive takes just over an hour, depending on traffic and where you start. Many guests head north towards Gainesville on I-35, then west on US-82 through the countryside to Saint Jo. The final stretch is on quiet farm-to-market roads. Always follow your GPS for the best route on the day.
Once you leave the interstate, the scenery gets better with every mile. Wind the windows down. You’re on vacation.
Flying in?
If you’re coming from further afield, DFW International and Dallas Love Field are the most convenient airports. You’ll need a rental car to reach us and to explore the area during your stay.
Timing your arrival
- Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out is at 11 am.
- Try to arrive in daylight, especially on your first visit. Country roads get very dark at night. That’s great for stargazing, but less great for finding a turn-off.
- Beat the traffic. Leaving DFW a little after lunch on a Friday often makes the drive more relaxing than joining the evening rush.
Handy tips for the journey
- Stock up on the way. Pick up snacks, drinks and anything else you’d like before the final stretch, so you can settle in and not go anywhere again.
- Save directions offline in case mobile signal drops out on the rural roads.
- Plan for pets. Pets aren’t allowed at All Is Well, so arrange care for furry family members before you leave.
- Keep our number handy: +1-940-236-0799. If you get turned around, just call.
The moment you arrive
There’s a moment every guest describes. You step out of the car, hear nothing but the trees and feel your shoulders drop. That’s when your getaway really starts.
