If there’s one night out we recommend to guests, it’s this one. Red River Station has one of the best live music scenes in North Texas, and it’s right here in Saint Jo. Owners Curtis and Kathryn Goff transformed a 1930s-era lumberyard into a venue that now hosts more than 50 shows a year, with a focus on Texas, Red Dirt and Americana music.
There are indoor and outdoor stages, and the sound system is one of the best of any venue its size. Most of all, the atmosphere is everything a North Texas night should be: friendly crowds, great music and the open sky overhead. It’s intimate enough to feel special, yet it draws some of the best names in Texas music.
When to go: Check the line-up on their website before you book your stay. Popular shows sell out, so grab tickets early. On show nights, gates usually open at 6:30 pm for outdoor shows and 7 pm for indoor shows. Grab an early bite on the square, enjoy the music and then drive back to All Is Well for a late-night soak in your hot tub under the stars. It’s a perfect evening.
